Covetable Gadgets

Some gadgets are a need, others are a must, these are simply to die for. They are either really gorgeous or really smart. Some, like when we get really lucky and find a guy or girl that’s both gorgeous and smart, embody both qualities.

Tandem USB

Because you can never have enough USB ports. Cute, clever and candy-coloured, Tandem USB is a win. Don’t believe? It has won an IF Concept Design Award 2010.

Paul Smith’s Fisheye camera

If this doesn’t scream cool, we don’t know what else does. Lomographs are a fashion statement on their own, but carrying a Paul Smith one puts you in a league of your own.

De’longhi Icona Azure Blue Toaster

With the Icona, a toaster is not just a toaster. It is a four-slice thing that goes ‘bing’ and oozes much vintage charm all while popping bread nicely browned. Hot.

Olympia Traveller DeLuxe

Nothing could be more nostalgic than the sound of the typewriter – no, not even the typewriter itself. Lightweight and of one of the best makes out there (Olympias are touted to be some of the best typewriters), the Traveller DeLuxe is a little impractical but get one for old time’s sake.

Samsung wireless camera ST80

The ST80, a wi-fi enabled digital camera, tells computers to go to hell. The Samsung AllShare (DLNA) technology simplifies uploading and sharing photos; users also enjoy smart features, including innovating cropping and scene recognition. Now you can snap and show.

Apple Magic Trackpad

The Apple Magic Trackpad takes up more space than a regular mouse but by virtue of the fact that it looks this good, I say get rid of that ratty old thing we call “mouse”.
