Mandarin Gallery was officially launched by Singapore’s President S.R. Nathan with much fanfare. Models decked out from head to toe in high-end brands, which make up the majority of the tenants, free-flow of wine and loads of freebies, you’ll buy more and help stimulate the economy.
After a $200 million makeover, the four-storey mall is sleek and just brimming over with brand names, which boast five flagship duplexes – Emporio Armani, D&G, Montblanc, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Bread & Butter. That’s right ladies and gentleman, step up to get your $600 jeans.
Targeted at ‘highly affluent, well-travelled’ customers aged 25-45 years, Mandarin Gallery features popular Japanese ramen restaurant, Ippudo. Coming all the way from New York, its Asian debut joins other foodie tenants such as all-day breakfast joint Wild Honey and jones the grocer.
Part of its CRM movement includes a platform for students from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Nanyang@Mandarin Gallery is still in the works and allows students to display their own work.
