We’ve featured her debut EP – The Bedroom, interviewed her and got you to download her Christmas EP – Peace, Love & Mistletoe. You know we feature the good stuff. So guess what? Now Inch Chua’s on to something far better and everyone’s involved in her road to bigger things.

The prestigious South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival has invited Inch to perform on 17 March 2010! That’s in Austin, Texas, if you’re clueless about the magnitude of this news. She’s the first Singapore female singer songwriter to be on that grand stage and it’s Inch’s biggest platform to perform to date!

It sounds wonderful but the road to Austin, Texas isn’t as easy as it seems. Inch is faced with the uphill task of raising funds to undertake the trip, which can be a huge obstacle for independent performers like her to overcome. It’s very heartwarming that her friends and peers in the Singapore independent rock scene have bandied around to help her cause.

Bands performing genres as diverse as post-hardcore to indie rock will come together to perform a special acoustic show in support of Inch and her dream of performing at the SXSW Festival. Acts like : A Vacant Affair, B-Quartet, Caracal, Plainsunset and more will be taking a break from their usual boisterous rock’n'roll to showcase a gentler side of their music.
