The Killers will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sunday, 24th January 2010 for their long awaited debut in South East Asia! The multi-platinum VMA Award-winning, Grammy-nominated band from Las Vegas, was formed in 2002 and blazed on the Indie scene in the year 2003 with their hit “Mr. Brightside”. The band consists of Brandon Flowers (vocals & keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar), Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums). Part of the post-punkĀ  revival movement, The Killers draw their influences from music styles of the 1980s.

The Killers

The Early Days

Released in 2004, The Killers’ debut album “Hot Fuss” brought the band mainstream success and critical acclaim. Their second album, “Sam’s Town”, was released in 2006, and the compilation album”Sawdust” containing B-sides, rarities, and new material, was released in 2007. Their third studio album, “Day & Age”, produced by Stuart Price, was released in 2008.

“We have been overwhelmed by the numerous requests by both the media and fans to bring The Killers in ever since they first came out and we are glad to be able to pull this one off for all The Killers fans.” says Luke Hede, Vice President of International Promotions – Asia, Live Nation. Dubbed by Rolling Stone and MTV as the hottest band of 2005, the band has spawned hits like “Mr Brightside”, “Smile Like You Mean It” and “Human”, just to name a few – it should come with no surprise that they have earned themselves famous fans like David Bowie and Elton John.
