Today’s feature goes back just a few years ago before Lady Gaga was born and all there was, was Stefani Germanotta. Before the blonde hair and outrageous costumes on-and-off stage from wrap-around lace to an outfit made entirely from Kermit The Frog replica’s, this video shows that she’s just as great minus the entire shtick, not that we don’t love it from time to time. Okay, maybe besides the stabbing from the VMAs.
Here she is as an N.Y.U freshman competing at Ultraviolet Live, NYU’s annual talent show. She unfortunately didn’t come in first but you can see the very beginnings of her very enigmatic ways that are now magnified and exaggerated.
