Their story’s simple: Samantha Lim (Vocals), Miska Mandic (Keys), Linda Marigliano (Bass), Sophie McGinn (Guitar) are four musically effervescent childhood friends who roped in Adam Udovich (Drums) later in life to make up the five crazy kats of teenagersintokyo. Since jumping into the music scene in 2005, the band has played on stage with big names like CSS, Midnight Juggernauts, The Slits, Mercy Arms and Infadels, just to name a few.

Neither in their teens nor picking up life lessons in Tokyo, teenagersintokyo’s humble beginnings surfaced in Sydney, Australia before settling in London, where they currently reside. After releasing their self-titled E.P., the band was adopted by UK’s Back Yard Recordings, the tastemaker label responsible for finding internationally acclaimed bands such as Chromeo and The Gossip. They have also released their record in Australia through Pavement Entertainment, and in Japan through Rallye/Klee Label; home to the Klaxons, Au Revoir Simone and The Teenagers.

Their first single from their upcoming album, Isabella / Long Walk Home was released on October 5th and you can sample the music here. But first, stay on for a video montage of their 2008 European Tour and two handpicked teenagersintokyo music videos to whet your musical appetite.
