MV Tuesday: House of Cards

Over the weekend, Thom Yorke unveiled his new sideline project at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. His new band, consisting of Joey Waronker, Flea, Nigel Godrich and Mauro Refosco, played songs from Thom’s solo album The Eraser and new material that didn’t even really have a name yet! Raw and exciting, a student candidly touted it as depressing dance music.

All is not lost though, the band that gave us songs like Creep, Fake Plastic Trees and the ever-so-sexy, The Bends, is not breaking up! So to celebrate this new outlet for Yorke, Penny dug out House of Cards. Directed by James Frost with Zoo Films, the video was produced with no cameras, or lights. Instead, the use of lasers rotating and shooting to capture 3D images at a close proximity. Can we say trippy?
