It’s created a whole lot of buzz even before the real trailer was produced and now that it has, it has been flying all over the internet! It’s amazing what a wooden cowboy and cowgirl, flanked by an egotistical spaceman and a variety of retro sidekicks that range from a T-Rex to Mr. Potato Head can do to grab your attention.
Yup, that’s right, Toy Story is expanding to include a third movie that won children and those who are a child-at-heart over almost 14 years ago – wowza how time flies!
The basic premise of the story is that Andy, now a strapping young man, is leaving for college and well, young men don’t take their toys to college (well most of them anyway). As such, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, along with the rest of gang is being shipped out to storage. Having a change of heart, Andy decides to just hang onto Woody, while the rest get sent to the attic. Unfortunately, instead of the attic, they find themselves at the local day-centre after they get accidentally thrown away and picked up by garbage men. The tows now have to undertake the feat of survival amidst pre-school children, while Woody attempts to save the motley crew and find themselves a new home.
Penny has a feeling in her bones that it’s going to be great! Almost all the actors returned to reprise their roles with the exception of Jim Varney who voiced Slinky Dog. Unfortunately he passed away due to lung cancer in 2000. Taking his place is John Lasseter, who apparently sounds a lot like him.
Here’s a preview of what you can expect when it’s released Mid-2010!
